Presentation of foetus refers to whether baby is head down (vertex presentation)which happens in nearly 96% of pregnancies, or is breech presentation, or is lying transversely.
Presentation of your baby is linked to the type of delivery (normal or caesarian) your obstetrician plans for you.
Also, breech delivery babies have a higher incidence of dislocated hip joints.
This scan is ideally conducted from 35 weeks onwards. |
